Information Systems Management Department (ISM) provides leading edge technology solutions to the Philadelphia Housing Authority and assists in making a clean, safe and affordable environment for PHA residents. ISM operates during the hours of 8:00a.m. - 1:00a.m, supporting all PHA software applications, personal computers, cellular phones, pagers, printers and telecommunications equipment.
Our hardware platforms consist of the following: HP/UX 9000 mid range systems and IBM, HP and Compaq Windows Intel bases platforms. Our Enterprise Software application platforms consist of PeopleSoft HRMS/Payroll, Financial and PeopleSoft CRM suites on Microsoft SQL Server and Emphasys Housing Software on a Unidata database. We use Enterprise Lotus Notes, Microsoft productivity software, Primavera, AutoCAD and GIS systems.

Enterprise Systems
Supporting PeopleSoft (HRMS/Payroll, Automated Requisition, Financials and Supply Chain), Emphasys (housing system for public housing and Housing Choice programs), Web site and reporting.
- Write and customize software programs to accommodate business requirements.
- Evaluate and modify existing programs as program, system, or equipment configurations are altered.
- Provide reports to management and government agencies.
- Trouble-shoot and document software programs.
- Provide end-user training.
End-User Support
-Network/Hardware:
- Manage Micrsoft NT and Unix network servers to ensure systems availability and stability
- Monitor and maintain PHA’s distributed network environment including LAN and WAN.
- Manage PHA’s enterprise e-mail system (Lotus Notes)
- Provide desktop hardware and software support
Operation/Help Desk
- Provide day-to-day operation of PHA systems (PeopleSoft for financial and HR, CCS Housing System)
- Process reports
- Provide first level end-user support and trouble-shooting.

Compliance
Oversee the compliance management for public housing and Housing Choice programs. Ensure proper tracking and reporting of data in CCS for the Public Housing Management Assessment System (PHAS) and the Section Eight Management Assessment Program (SEMAP).
