HOUSING FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

PHA has accessible, adaptable and visitable units, as well as other units suitable to meet the needs of disabled persons with mobility, hearing and vision impairments. There is a preference on our wait list for families whose head or co-head of house is disabled. Accessible dwelling units are reserved for eligible families whose members have mobility impairments who need the features of those units and PHA will go down its waiting list to find such applicants.

COMUNICATION ASSISTANCE

If you are disabled and require assistance with any reading materials or need assistance at the Admissions interview or any meeting, please call 215-684-4453 and request one of the following accommodations:

  • Large Print or Braille materials or a reader, if you have a vision impairment.
  • An interpreter or reader for a language barrier.
  • A Sign Language interpreter (it will take PHA four business days to arrange for this).
  • For TTY use the 711 Relay system or the PA Relay System at 1-800-654-5984.
