The Philadelphia Housing Authority's General Counsel, Barbara Adams, will receive the Urban Affairs Coalition's Dwight Evans Living Legacy Award at the UAC's 43rd Anniversary Breakfast. Congratulations!

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Urban Affairs Coalition, a nonprofit dedicated to building wealth in urban areas, announced today the honorees for three prestigious awards which will be given at the 43rd Anniversary Breakfast on Friday, November 16, 7:45 - 9:30 a.m., at the Wanamaker Building, Crystal Tea Room (100 Penn Square East) in Philadelphia. Considered the "networking event of the season," the Breakfast attracts over 700 Philadelphia business, government, and community leaders. The Urban Affairs Coalition was founded on the principles of partnership, believing that finding solutions to address the complexities of today's community problems requires multiple stakeholders and diverse sectors working together toward a common goal. This year's event theme, Public-Private Partnerships: Advancing Community Development, will highlight the contributions of four Philadelphians who have made a tremendous difference to organizations and communities in the Philadelphia region.

• Bill Hankowsky, Chairman, President and CEO of Liberty Property Trust will receive the Edward G. Rendell "Doer" Award, which honors individuals who have made the communities of Philadelphia a better place to live, work and play.

• Barbara Adams, General Counsel of the Philadelphia Housing Authority will receive the Dwight Evans Living Legacy Award, which recognizes a leader committed to fostering UAC's mission and values.

• The Urban Affairs Coalition's Community Economic Development Committee-represented by Bill Smith, Senior Vice President, Community Investments, Citizens Bank; Rick Sauer, Executive Director, Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations; and Don Kelly, Director, Community and Economic Development, Urban Affairs Coalition-will receive the Ernest E. Jones Community Leadership Award, which goes to a community organization and its leaders for contributing to the quality of life in Philadelphia.
