The Resident Advisory Board (RAB) is a national model in tenant activism and has been replicated at housing authorities nationwide.
RAB leaders have testified locally and nationally on issues affecting public housing residents.
RAB leaders advocated for public housing resident representation on the PHA Board of Commissioners. They have prepared Letters to the Editor and other documents to educate the public regarding public housing resident empowerment. And RAB leaders have served as successful plaintiffs in several cases that improved the quality of life for public housing residents.
