Youth Programs

Early Childhood Programs

Children ages three to 12 years old are eligible to participate in programs such as Head Start, day care, after school care, and other education programs from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m Monday through Friday. Seven sites throughout Philadelphia offer these services. Call (215) 684-1061 for details.

Skills for Life

This program offers children ages 14 and older opportunities to learn about careers, receive tutoring, learn about and use computers and get summer employment. Call (215) 684-1196 for more information.

Summer Youth Employment – Agri-Explore

This program offers summer employment for 14 to 21 year olds who will work with the Summer Food Program. Call (215) 684-1196 for details.

Recreation, Education and Cultural Arts After School Programs

Enroll children eight to 13 years old in Freedom Theater, Philly Moves, and/or the Family Service Center, which offers tutoring, instruction in the performing arts, and computer training after school. Sites are located throughout Philadelphia. For more information call (215) 684-1196.

Summer Food Service Program

This program operates at more than 25 PHA sites, and provides breakfast and lunch to youth ages five - 18. Call (215) 684-1164 for information.
