The Philadelphia Housing Authority has made computer training for willing residents a priority. Working with Tenant Support Services, Inc. and the donations from IBM, the first lab has been located at Tasker Homes. PHA will continue to locate these facilities as space and hardware become available.
PHA has outfitted two vans as mobile computer labs. These vehicles are targeted for children living in PHA developments and are located with educational software. Community Resource Development and Social Services staff schedule the vehicles for site visits and provide the training associated with them.
