PHA’s Kinship Care Program Hosts Holiday Mat Making

On Monday, December 22, 2025, caregivers from the PHA Kinship Care Program participated in a Holiday Mat Making Activity facilitated by Willbe’s Corner. Twenty PHA residents and their grandchildren enjoyed creating festive holiday door mats together. Families selected from a variety of designs, such as “Santa Stop Here,” “Merry Christmas,” “The Grinch,” and a memorable quote from the holiday movie Home Alone.

This activity provided PHA staff with an opportunity to engage with Kinship families while allowing caregivers and their grandchildren to bond through a fun, hands-on experience. Holiday music played throughout the event, and lunch was provided for all participants.

Before leaving, caregivers took part in a raffle hosted by Willbe’s Corner, where three winners received Eagles sweatshirts. Families also went home with Christmas toys donated by the Tyrese Maxey Foundation, making the holiday season extra special.
